University Theater (UT) annually produces more than 30 different shows, involving more than 400 members of the University community. Students direct, design, and act in all of the productions. Admission to shows is $6. Among UT's offerings:
- UT productions include classical, contemporary, and student written work ranging from one-acts to fully realized musicals.
- UT helps coproduce shows and films with student dance (Dance Alliance) and film (Fire Escape) groups.
- Off-Off Campus performs improvisational comedy Friday nights in the fourth to eighth week of each quarter at University Church at 57th and University.
Dance
Learn swing (swing.uchicago.edu) or classical Indian dance techniques. Or perform with UC Dancers (ucdancers.uchicago.edu), University Ballet (uballet.uchicago.edu), Rhythmic Bodies in Motion (rhythmicbodies.uchicago.edu), or Jazz Alive, among others.
