Socializing exists on all levels at Chicago, from impromptu get-togethers at someone's apartment to department gatherings to University-wide parties where everyone's invited. The Council on University Programming (COUP) is one of the major hosts of the big events, which include age-old University traditions such as the Formal, Kuviasungnerk (a winter festival), Mardi Gras. Other student groups plan events like Festival of the Arts (FOTA) and Le Vorris & Vox circus, which have become newer traditions.
You'll see ads, banners, and flyers all over campus promoting these and other events.

Practice your calisthenics
during Kuviasungnerk, the
annual winter festival.
