Fire Escape Films

Web: fireescapefilms.com

The University's student filmmaking group, Fire Escape provides the training, equipment, and support that students need to make their own films. It produces films in various styles, screens its films regularly on and off campus, and hosts film-related events throughout the year. In addition to providing equipment and funding to student filmmakers, Fire Escape strives to educate through student-led projects, workshops with film industry guests, and faculty critiques.

Fire Escape has produced countless short films, as well as several feature length films, including Haunting Pierrot's Ghost (2002), Out of My Head (2003), The Pursuit of Happiness (2004), and Crime Fiction (2005). Many alumni have taken jobs in the film industry.
