Check out the creations of your fellow students by stopping by the studios of the University's Department of Visual Arts (DOVA). There's a wide range of exhibits, lectures, and events. Don't miss the open studios night that happens in autumn and winter. There are also BA and MFA shows in spring quarter and an artist lecture series on Wednesdays at 4:00 P.M. throughout the year. Do your own art

You don't have to study art to do art at the University of Chicago. The goal of the annual Festival of the Arts is to involve both artists and non-artists by making the entire campus into a gallery each spring. Find out more at fota.uchicago.edu. Also open to all students, Outside the Lines has a Web site at figure-drawing.uchicago.edu. The Hyde Park Art Center welcomes students to join their many classes and activities.
