You can get full meals—"from soup to nuts"—at the three campus dining commons, which are open to all members of the University community and their guests when school is in session. In addition to various meal plans, cash and credit cards are accepted at all residential dining commons.

The South Campus Dining Commons, a newly renovated urban-style restaurant, offers all-you-can-eat,made-to-order meals at the Fresh Food Company (FFCo.) Features a glatt kosher station, a vegan and vegetarian station, made-to-order pasta and stir-fry, Mediterranean pizzas, and halal entrees served three days a week.

A popular and affordable student run hangout, featuring good music, pizza, and many selections from Hyde Park restaurants. Cheap coffee is even cheaper if you bring your own mug. Happy hour from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. features free coffee or tea with purchases over 60¢.

This snack bar and coffee shop is run by students. Several local restaurants provide affordable box lunches, including Mediterranean and Thai. Also features vegan entrées and baked goods from the Chicago Diner. The pool tables and comfortable new chairs make it a good place for both studying and socializing.
