Student life is what students do. It reflects the kinds of people students are. So, it only makes sense that student life at Chicago is like anywhere else—but more intense. As you may have noticed, Chicago students tend to be passionate about their interests, intellectual and otherwise, and they pursue a lot of interests here—from singing a cappella to working with children in a domestic violence shelter to playing intramural basketball to fielding one of the most successful parliamentary debate teams in the country. Whether or not you're already doing something that captivates you, keep experimenting, stretching yourself, expanding your horizons. You may surprise yourself. This section surveys some possibilities and offers you some pointers on how and where to get things started and make things happen.
